Welcome aboard Hannah

"I'm very lucky to have travelled much of the world already and this really helps when creating web content or translating for travel websites"

The Adventure Connection is proud to welcome their newest and youngest member, who will be responsible for a range of tasks including marketing, blog writing, website creation and French/Spanish translation.

Languages are very much Hannah's thing - having just graduated from the University of Exeter with a 2:1 in Modern Languages, she is keen to keep her French and Spanish up by helping out with translation for a range of travel websites. Despite being in her early 20s, she already has several years of experience in the travel industry, having been involved in marketing with a number of adventure travel brands, as well as a 12-month internship in Barcelona where she helped with translation, copywriting, proofreading and website content.

She's also been lucky enough to see a lot of the world already, which has developed her passion for adventure travel. All before the age of 21, she rode camels across a desert in Morocco, went on safari in Africa, inter-railed around much of Eastern Europe, went white-water rafting and snow-shoeing in the Pyrenees, kayaked along mangroves across the coast of Thailand and around the islands of Croatia and Greece, and zip-wired through a rainforest canopy in Costa Rica.

Her interest in digital marketing comes mainly from the business modules which she specialised in during her final year at Exeter. Working in a small group to create a fictitious company, she was responsible for creating the website and social media pages, before presenting the business idea Dragons Den-style to the module lecturer and her peers.

We can't hold onto her for too long though! After a few months of working for The Adventure Connection, she's off to South America for her next big adventure - six months working for Ecoandes, a tour operator based in Quito, Ecuador specialising in sustainable travel. Here, she'll be responsible for digital marketing and social media as well as helping with the smooth running of their hotels, including the amazing Yacuma Jungle EcoLodge, a unique ecologically sustainable project in the Amazon rainforest. At the end of the six months, she'll tick more countries off her bucket list by visiting Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and Brazil, before flying back to England.

For now though, we're very happy to have her in the team!
