Since 2015
Island Adventures was founded in 2015 when two friends (with extensive experience in the travel industry in Sri Lanka) decided to build a business around their passion for showcasing their country at its best. The company is staffed by an expert team and professional guides who consistently deliver to the highest level of service.
Suren Basnayake
Suren spent ten years designing and operating adventure travel for one of Sri Lanka’s leading DMC’s before founding Island Adventures with his friend Nalaka, an award winning special interest, nature and trekking guide, with over 30 years’ experience. They love creating their authentic tours so much, they claim to have never ‘worked’ a day since!
