Based just 7km south of the Arctic Circle in Rovaniemi, the capital of Finnish Lapland and also known as the home town of Santa Claus! Wild About Lapland offers adventure and activity tours throughout Northern Finland.

Wilderness adventure

Summer and winter adventure tours for FITs and small groups, that get off the beaten track and embrace the beauty and diversity of the Arctic region. Activities include wilderness hikes, reindeer safaris, Aurora Borealis tours, husky sleigh driving, midnight sun canoe trips, nature tours, ice fishing, snowshoeing, Ice climbing... With a friendly and approachable ethos, they also run active learning trips for schools.

Their motto is ‘the smaller the group, the bigger the experience’.

Wild About Lapland was established to share a love of the natural world and to offer an experience that is a world away from the mass tourism of Santa visits.

Theo has worked in the outdoor industry since he was 16, with a five-year break to become a Royal Marine Commando. He has travelled the world teaching sailing, kayaking and climbing before becoming completely mesmerised by the arctic wilderness which he now calls home.
