Tamàna operate tailor-made and small group tours that provide a genuine insight into this extraordinary country. Activities such as cycling, walking, trekking and diving are combined with wildlife spotting experiences and cultural interaction with local people.

In 2022, Tamàna bounced back from the Covid-19 pandemic with a re-launch. Using their significant expertise, in-depth knowledge and years of experience in the region, they expanded their adventure tours and developed new walking, trekking and cycling itineraries. They also launched a unique, immersive Tamàna Kitchen programme for visitors to experience the distinctive culture through food.

Since 2007

Back in 2007 Tamàna launched with the idea to combine both cultural and natural wonders, to create a unique Malagasy experience for visitors to this incredible destination.

Laurence Schaffner

French-born owner, Laurence, has lived in Madagascar for over 20 years. Originally trained as a lawyer, she is passionate about responsible travel and ensuring tourism has a positive impact on society and the environment. She is joined at Tamàna by a skilful, motivated team who are passionate about their home country and have unmatchable destination knowledge.
